I am the hunger of a young wolf, Jergon Studio, Berlin 2025

We are pleased to present I AM THE HUNGER OF A YOUNG WOLF, a site-specific exhibition by Evelyne de Behr. The project unfolds as a sensory and poetic journey through soil, memory, and matter—rooted in the artist’s recent experience at the final edition of the Montemero Art Residency in drought-stricken Almería, Spain.
De Behr incorporates this fragile landscape into paintings, video performances, and installations. Earth is transformed into pigment, language, and ritual. In works like Nuanciers des Couleurs de la Terre and La terre, c’est ma mère, the artist reflects on the erasure of ancestral knowledge and the paradoxes of ecological collapse—where modern technologies archive what they simultaneously extinguish.
This exhibition inhabits the architecture of the gallery as a breathing organism. Muted tones and delicate material constellations guide the viewer through spaces of disappearance, resonance, and rebirth. Soil becomes message. Silence becomes voice. A lone bird’s call echoes across time.
